Terms of use
Last updated: 3 November 2026
These terms apply to www.handsontech.org.sg, which is run by Hands On Tech Ltd, UEN 202532528Z (“Hands On Tech”, “we”, “us”). By using the website you agree to them.
1. About the website
The website tells you about our workshops, mentoring and other ways to get involved, and lets you contact us. We try to keep it accurate, but workshop dates, venues, fees and content can change. The details we confirm to you when registration opens are the ones that apply.
2. Workshops
Ages. Unless otherwise stated, workshops are open to participants aged 12 and above. Participants aged 12 to 15 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian throughout the session. Those aged 16 and above may attend on their own. Any further eligibility requirements are stated at registration.
Fees. Some workshops are free; others charge a fee stated at registration. Replacement parts may cost extra, and we will ask for your agreement before supplying parts you would pay for.
If you cancel or do not attend, workshop fees are non-refundable, unless a medical certificate confirms that you were unable to attend on the workshop date. Please send refund requests to info@handsontech.org.sg.
If Hands On Tech cancels a workshop, we will refund the workshop fee in full. If we reschedule it, you may move your booking to the new date or ask for a full refund.
This does not affect any rights you may have under applicable law.
Safety. Participants must follow the instructions of mentors and staff, use the required safety equipment and ask for guidance before using unfamiliar tools. We may pause or stop someone’s participation where necessary for safety.
Personal belongings and repairs. Please take care of the belongings you bring, including bicycles or appliances. Workshops provide supervised learning; we cannot guarantee that every repair will be completed or that an item can be repaired. Ask for guidance before using an item that was worked on during the session. Nothing in this clause limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Photography. We request consent before taking photographs for internal documentation and programme review. Public use, including on our website or social media, requires separate consent. For participants under 18, we request consent from a parent or guardian. Please see our Privacy policy for details.
3. Mentoring
Sending a mentoring enquiry does not guarantee a mentor. We review each enquiry individually. Mentoring depends on programme capacity and on having a suitably screened mentor available.
4. Volunteering
Sending a volunteer enquiry does not make you a volunteer. Volunteers, especially mentors, go through further screening and onboarding before working with young people.
5. Donations
You can donate to Hands On Tech Ltd by PayNow to our UEN, 202532528Z. Please check that the recipient shows as Hands On Tech Ltd before you pay. Donations are voluntary and normally cannot be refunded; if you made a mistake, contact us at info@handsontech.org.sg.
6. Our content
The text, photos and logo on this website belong to Hands On Tech or are used with permission. You may share links to our pages. Please do not copy or reuse our photos or logo without asking us first.
7. What you send us
When you use our forms, please give accurate information, and do not include information about other people unless you are entitled to share it (for example, as a parent or guardian). How we handle your personal data is explained in our Privacy policy.
8. Links to other websites
We may link to other websites. We are not responsible for their content or how they handle your data.
9. Liability
We take reasonable care to keep this website accurate and up to date, but cannot guarantee that its content will always be complete, accurate or available. Website information is for general guidance and does not replace supervised instruction or professional advice.
To the extent permitted by Singapore law, Hands On Tech Ltd is not liable for loss arising from use of this website or reliance on its content.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Workshop participation is subject to separate safety instructions and participation terms provided at registration. These website terms do not waive participants’ legal rights.
