How a workshop works

  1. We show you

A mentor demonstrates the job and the safe way to do it.

  2. You try it

You practise the same task on a real bicycle or fitting.

  3. We help you do it

A mentor guides you until you can finish the job confidently and safely.

Before you sign up

How much does it cost?

It depends on the workshop. Some community workshops are free; others charge a small fee. Our 24 October 2026 Compassvale workshop, for example, cost S$5 per participant, with any replacement parts charged separately.

Who can come?

Our workshops are mainly for boys and young men, and for fathers and sons learning together. Young people aged 16 and over can join on their own. Those aged 12 to 15 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian throughout the session. Each workshop says who it is for, what it costs and where it is when registration opens.

Can a father and son come together?

Yes. Fathers and sons learning side by side is at the heart of what we do.
